Momme measures the weight of silk per square meter. Most robes sold as silk are polyester satin. Many that are genuinely silk are 12 or 16 momme, light enough to cling and to show every crease. At 19 momme this hangs with weight, holds a clean line at the lapel, and stays warm without bulk.
